Healthy Breakfast Recipe
Our friends over at Green Press have shared this deliciously healthy breakfast recipe with us. It's one of their most popular items in store. Ever. The Peanut Butter Acai Bowl.
Acai (ah-sah-hee) is one of the richest sources of antioxidants on the planet. Cultivated in a tiny region within the Amazon rainforest it has become internationally popular due to the iconic Brazilian Acai Bowl.
This recipe is seriously delicious, nutrient dense and quick and easy to make. It's also very addictive. You'll want it for breakfast, lunch and dinner! We love adding Koja Almond and Berry on top for extra nutrition to keep us going until lunchtime.
Frozen Banana - 1 large or 1 1/2 medium
Acai Powder - 1 tablespoon
Ice - 1 cup
Vegan Choc Protein - 1 Scoop *Optional*
Peanut Butter - 1 tablespoon
Almond Milk - 1/2 cup
- Combine all ingredients in a blender (ideally a blender with a stick, otherwise you'll need to stop and start many times, pushing the frozen ingredients around)
- Blend acai goodness until creamy, with no chunks of ice
- Pour into a bowl and top with your choice of granola, toasted coconut, fresh fruit or KOJA.
